One of the first questions at my town halls in #il08 is how to fix our politics. One starting place is money in politics. Someone you’ve never heard of can spend millions of dollars to influence your vote, and you don’t know who they are. That’s dark money, and it has no place in a democracy.

When Anthropic raised concerns about how its AI was being used by the military, Pete Hegseth reportedly threatened to label them a supply chain risk. If ethics get you punished, only the most reckless companies will line up to work with the Pentagon. We deserve oversight. Not strongarm tactics.

Trump’s team is saying there’s a 90% chance of war with Iran. Congress cannot sit on the sidelines. My Trump Accountability Plan would require Congress to act before any new strikes and amend the NDAA to hold appointees accountable. No unilateral wars. Congress must reclaim its war powers.
