Hmm, this C64 keyboard font on Github isn't that great. Many of the shapes differ significantly from the source; most are too wide. For the Ultimate, it had to be completely authentic. We'd have been torn to shreds if it wasn't. 😬 szabadkai.github.io/c64-keyboard...

I'm the guy who had to redraw all the glyphs by hand for the C64 Ultimate. Good to know this exists, so nobody will have to bother doing it again. 🙂

eBay is a paragon of enshittification. Its core function hasn't changed in 25 years, they make obscene amounts of money, but seem committed to making it worse. You can't even type messages to sellers through the browser too quickly or it drops keystrokes.

I had the light, but it was about as effective as the glovebox light in an Austin Allegro. It also attached by slotting into the grooves in the case and was kind of held there by friction, scuffing up the screen when you took it off. Absolute crud.

I had one of these, early 90s I think. It was pretty much bomb proof.

I use one of these (or very similar) with the socket / pins installed the other way around to program my boards in a TL866. 🙂

I have always loved this game. Seeing it for the first time was probably the moment I realised that the computer I had chosen wasn't what I thought it was, it was *better*. It is super short though. In fact Bluesky's video length limit is now 10 minutes, and I can finish it in seven.

They worked the original game's mechanics into an arcade adventure. Very atmospheric but a bit slow and repetitive. Still, I had fun exploring the map and the music was sublime.
