Y-You're seeing it too, right??

A major female character leading the Sotoa forces in Ace Combat 8 with Himari's halo from Blue Archive poorly photoshopped behind her

As happy as I am about online mode for Ace Combat 8, it's really painful to see player models continue to vanish in a single explosion like they did in AC7 MP... Stuff breaking apart is my single biggest draw for the series, followed by variety of stuff to break apart.

Three cropped frames arranged vertically from Ace Combat 8 Online 101 Trailer, comparing damage models used by NPC and player aircraft models.

Top image: NPC Su-33 breaking apart after being shot down. The plane spirals and breaks apart with visible smoke and flame trails.

Middle image: Player Su-25 about to be creamed by F-22's missiles.

Bottom image: Player Su-25, shortly after being creamed by F-22's missiles. The Su-25 produces no debris like NPC Su-33 does in the top image.

I'm ready for the upcoming Ace Combat 8 Online overview

A Windows File Explorer screenshot showing two folders, one named "Memes when AC8 online is goat" containing image previews of Ace Combat 7's jpegdog and a real life photo of a goat, and the other named "Memes when AC8 online is shit" containing image previews of Ace Combat Infinity's gold crate and a drawing of Ace Combat mascot Nugget laying on the ground defeated.

Nagase just can't catch a break #Ace8

The image shows a meme format of a person sitting on a hospital bed with Nagase's head poorly photoshopped over the original. The nurse is standing besides Nagase saying "You've been on the surface for the last 10 years," and Nagase replies "Oh boy, I can't wait to see my favorite space elevator" while the said space elevator is crumbling in the distance outside the hospital window.

Next to Nagase's bed is a newspaper clipping of jpegdog eating Osean treaty.

Now that #AceINF is a thing again, remember that you can ignore the altitude restriction in Avalon Co-Op by rushing the jammers on mission start. Even non-ABs like Harrier and Intruder can pull it off. Just don't slow down until all missiles despawn, or they'll actually hit!

During #AceINF live service days, a user in Japan discovered weird missile pathing where LASM will do insane 180 turn when fired right as you pass the target Works best with big targets like these turrets and ships

While I fumble horribly at mixing music for the hangar view collection, here are three textures that went unused in #AceINF Su-33 with Scarface 1 livery Su-24MP with Color 3 from ACAH but with black body Mirage 2000-5 with Estovakian pattern from AC6

Ace Combat Infinity hangar view of Su-33 with Scarface 1 livery.

Ace Combat Infinity hangar view of Su-24MP with Color 3 livery from Assault Horizon but with black main body. The livery appears to be inspired by Su-24MR "Yellow 40" used for air shows.

Ace Combat Infinity hangar view of Mirage 2000-5 with Estovakian color pattern from Ace Combat 6, based on French Air Force Mirage 2000D.

So the recent #AceINF news encouraged me to finish putting these together, but I uh, wasn't expecting the total runtime to exceed six hours... I'm gonna have to think about how to arrange these.

Browsed some old #AceINF recordings while my internet was down few nights ago. This was one of the many clips taken for Area 88 tribute video published back in 2018, where only a split second was used in the final.

Now that multi Sp.W loadout is a thing, it'd be seriously cool to disperse cloud layer with MPBM and then fire TLS through the opening.

Flew XFA-27 w/ MSTM few times in AC7. Mashing the button to dump all 6 missiles on one target hits different vs single button to fire multiple shots. I still prefer the 4 standard missile option from AC2&X, but I also liked MSTM being given to other planes in Infinity.

Last week I found out Free Flight version of Roca Roja in Ace Combat 7 is missing the cirrus clouds (Thin, wispy clouds waaaaay up in the air).

An ingame screenshot of F/A-18F Super Hornet in General Resources livery flying over Mission 6 in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

Similar image, but now taken in Free Flight version of the same mission. Note the missing cirrus cloud formation in the upper half of screen.

Nearly 10 years later I finally got the joke behind that nickname

A cropped screenshot from Ace Combat Infinity showing A-6E Intruder with Nugget livery. The nickname "These Pilots Aren't Even Human" refers to the aircraft being flown by Nuggets, a type of mascot character of Ace Combat series portrayed as a baby chick.

Ditto, but close-up of the cockpit showing the Nugget pilots.

A few years late, but I would have actually used Ace Combat Infinity's ESM if it on activation let you skip datalink standby/cooldown along with receiving linked player's effect on top of your own.

A loading image in Ace Combat Infinity showcasing Su-24MP Fencer. The description reads "An electronic warfare version of the Su-24, a large fighter bomber developed by the old Soviet Union. Can carry an ECM (electronic counter measures) pod that interferes with enemy missile guidance."
