I’ve been working on a new little creator tool: add a poll to any email. Platforms like Kit and Beehiiv have native poll features, but on expensive plans (eg $39/m). What if anyone could create polls, on any email platform (including Gmail and Apple Mail)? Launching soon: pollkit.co

I didn't write a single blog post in 2024. I probably should have. I did a lot of learning and definitely had some opportunities to share what I was working on. Expecting to write a lot more than zero words in 2025!

I think I’m addicted to making software. I do it all day for a living. Also some evenings each week. When I have a break from work, most of my thoughts are about making software. When I have down time, my body’s first itch is to sit at a computer and build. Could be worse I guess

Damn. Time off work for Christmas means I'm 🤏 this close to starting up a new SaaS project

Going to try and re-focus side project energy on consulting/freelance in 2025. Easier revenue compared to SaaS and might even work fewer hours! My first offering: danrowden.com/ghost-expert/

AirPods 4 sound is a lot different from my 2nd gen ones 👌 Also upgraded my watch to Series 10 from original SE. Love the larger screen but overall not much different. For a lot more money! SE probably OK for most people

I'm not sure how many Ghost people are on Bluesky, but I've launched a new way to offer support. Launching properly in January (late Dec is an awful time to launch anything lol), I'll be trying an "unlimited support" model. codelet.co/ghost-consul...

I have a lot of “cool” products but very few sign ups and customers. I found it a lot easier in 2020 and 2021 to make a business out of my products.

The earth tilt is slowing right down. Almost at a standstill as we approaching the solstice. Only 48 seconds difference today. It’s over 5 minutes for most of the year here in Southern Finland.

I’ve had my iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch for 4 years. Never felt like I needed an upgrade. But battery performance in all of them is just really bad now (esp AirPods). Going to have to replace them all just to get back to “OK” performance. Happy to have got 4 years out of them all though 👏

In January I start a new journey: training to be a football coach. I don’t know how far I’ll go, but there’s a clear path from no qualifications to coaching a senior side. Let’s see what happens!

I love APIs (and I get to work with them every day). I made this tiny API in @ilo.so that lets you query any of your internet stats from a simple URL. Super useful for showing a counter anywhere online, or to grab your stats in an external platform. And ridiculously simple to use. APIs ftw 🙌
