I'm in France and my wife, who is a nephrologist, explained to me the cognitive test she subjects her elderly patients to They are harder than the Montreal one, and yet if the examinee doesn't score 30/30, it is considered very bad prognostic. And I clearly don't see Trump get even a 15/30 on this.

Having statistic text generation as a building block doesn't preclude from being able of logic inference or reasoning. Turing complete machine (which are proven to be able to perform any information function) can be built from simple transistors. LLM don't always do but are able of symbolic logic
