And they really don't bother to cross reference their Brexit page. This is it as of now...

As a journalist, don’t you find it odd that the BBC doesn’t find this newsworthy? I just checked their site, including the dedicated “Brexit” section and the latest story they have is from 19th March.

Loved it! Such a varied collection of outstanding art. It’s always a great day when you get to see a Vermeer up close.

As a competition, it’s only as strong as the selection process for entries. The UK is really bad at this! We should stop trying to win, or second-guess what we think would work and just send the winner (or shortlisted UK entrant) from the BBC’s Sound of the Year. (BTW, I love Zero Zero!)

Here’s my suggestion: Stop trying to win, stop caring about points, and give the Eurovision slot to the act that wins the BBC’s Sound Of The Year competition. Look at the recent winners - they all deserve an early platform in their career… (Note: some winners would be ineligible for 🇬🇧)

The BBC’s Chris Mason finally gets round to the Reform illegal funding scandal. And it’s an indulgent “rascally pirate” take that basically lets them off the hook.

On a topic about which so many waded in with so little thought, I hesitate to venture an opinion - except to say that perhaps a good way to honour the dead is to read their work and seek to understand their ideas.

What any of this means for likely seats in three years’ time is anyone’s guess. And that’s a great reason to support electoral reform. These levels of support could translate into wildly different seat counts depending on the distribution / concentration of votes. That’s random! It’s not democracy.

He’s chosen an interesting seat with Makerfield. In theory, if he can unite the centre left then victory is his. But if he can’t do it in Makerfield, who’s to say he’d have done for the UK as a whole.

See also his “Origins of Virtue” in which he mangles evolutionary theory to argue that human nature is fundamentally selfish. Richard Dawkins later disavowed Ridley’s misuse of his ‘selfish gene’ theory to support reactionary conclusions. Never knowingly right. That’s out Matt.
