Same waterfall, 5 hours apart. We stayed by this waterfall for 5 days while exploring the southwest highlands. They were long days of driving and hiking that revealed the best Iceland has to offer. Grand vistas and otherworldly structures alike. But, this little waterfall felt overlooked.

On hot days, owls use gular fluttering to stay cool because they can’t sweat. This involves opening the mouth and wiggling the muscles in their throat to dissipate heat. This owl was also getting a face full of wind. Rough day, I get it.
