He’s saying the right things. If he can execute, good things to come. 👍

dano_cosmic✨ @danocosmic.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Interesting to note for those saying Hickman should jump to DC. He signed a new contract with Marvel with Midnight X-Men being the first book of the new contract. 🤷‍♂️ Link to podcast below…

Yea I don’t think he wants to do that anymore.

dano_cosmic✨ @danocosmic.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Could be! Wacker was his editor on the 2 Moons project I believe? Have to assume they have a good relationship.

Money and contract….we’ll see if he sticks once the contract expires.

Awful look for Marvel Comics decision makers here. That said, why is Hickman the common factor for a lot of these? Cut his involvement in Krakoa short, G.O.D.S. was short lived, Imperial bombing out, and now this Ultimate Universe stuff. Weird. Coincidence?

Not sure it should count as they added some stuff but hey… the fans win here, getting to see this in theaters and share with their kids and the company they…well, make more money. 🤷‍♂️ ✨ …I’ll also say, I never enjoyed Avatar at all.

I think I would have appreciated it more knowing what was supposed to come after it. As is, felt small and temporary.

A new era for Marvel Comics begins as the team gathers in NYC for Wacker’s first summit as EiC, the launch of Midnight on 10/7, and NYCC 10/8–10/11. A big moment for Marvel and hopefully a sign of better days ahead!

dano_cosmic✨ @danocosmic.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Agreed. ROM did the job under those conditions, he just didn’t need the Power Cosmic. I see him as a temporary herald.

So, question for ROM fans: Would you consider ROM a temporary or honorary Herald of Galactus? He performed the actual duty of a Herald, but wasn’t empowered with the Power Cosmic. Is that actually a requirement, though or just a “rule” established by fans and past Heralds?

For sure. Have to wonder where this was all headed if it was given more time. All in all, a let down to see it all abandoned.

Thought this was fun but Nova deserved far more given his role in the classic cosmic sagas of Giffen, Abnett & Lanning. This felt insignificant by comparison. Imperial sputtered out and Hickman dropped the ball kicking it off. Still, these spinoffs had their moments.

So maybe this counts as Kirby Krackle in a Thor Ragnarok trailer (brightened here)? Can’t stand Taika’s Marvel Studios work but his strength was including cool visual nods, lacking substance and just fluff, but cool to look at.

I swear I’ve been on the hunt for it, esp surprised none in First Steps. Another reason to rewatch Eternals 🤗

Toy releases have teased it as far back as July, but a new Avengers: Doomsday spot shows Doctor Doom’s powers with unmistakable Kirby Krackle. This may be the legendary Jack Kirby effect’s first live-action appearance after showing up in Into the Spider-Verse, What If…? & X-Men ’97.

Re: the pivot from Kang to Doom… Aside from the actor controversy, we got way too much Kang, way too fast. Thanos was built up without being everywhere. Meanwhile, Kang died once, He Who Remains twice & Victor Timely…thousands (at least) of times? 😂 Wasn’t the plan but I’m glad they pivoted.

This isn’t a George Lucas permanently noodling around with the original Star Wars trilogy situation. Endgame will be Endgame, Encore will be Encore.

130

dano_cosmic✨ @danocosmic.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

So I guess fans are upset they changed the ending of Avengers: Endgame to lead into Avengers: Doomsday with Encore. But what if, in the end, you can still watch either Endgame or Endgame: Encore? My guess is that’s exactly how it’ll end up on D+. And that’s that. 🤷‍♂️ (cont)

Shocked to come home to the news that Joshua Cassara has passed away due to heart complications. Every book he did just POPPED. His eye for detail and powerful figurework were proof that he put his all into every project he tackled. Condolences to his loved ones; rest in peace Joshua Cassara 🖤
