#THEN0UGHTIE5 HM 5 Badly Drawn Boy - Silent Sigh (2002) I had completely memory-holed Damon Gough's finest moment so thanks to Mitchell for the welcome reminder. It's all about the insistent piano and aching lyrics. Gorgeous stuff.

#THEN0UGHTIE5 HM 4 Christina Aguilera - Beautiful (2002) Xtina struck gold with Linda Perry with this collaboration. Her vocals can sometimes be a little OTT for me but she plays this one, ahem, beautifully.

#THEN0UGHTIE5 HM 2 Girls Aloud - No Good Advice (2003) The girls' vote is understandably getting split left, right and centre but their sophomore offering deserves more love than it has received to date. That tricky second single? Nadine and co thumbed their nose at such received wisdom.
