There are certain attachments that are linked to the helmet specifically, so when you wear things like the cap, the boonie hat, or alternative helmets some attachments will automatically become unavailable.

Adding a modulator and a random modifier to the sound cue makes sure that you hardly ever repeat the same audio output. This is perfect for things like gunfire, footsteps, taking damage, etc. #gamedev #indiedev #assiahgame #assiahdev

Everything is textured entirely by hand in photoshop, vertex painting and baked lighting used in Unreal Engine 5 with no Lumen or Nanite enabled. The goal with ASSIAH is to approach the process of making the game as closely as possible as those games that I take inspiration from.

I love how the weapons audio becomes different as the magazine nears empty. It's a great touch of communicating to players without making them check their HUD all the time. Can't wait to use that shotgun to blast those shield bastards.

Texturing a level has been interesting. Never done anything on this scale before, so there's lots to learn in regards to making things look natural and not overly tiled. But for a first pass I'm pretty happy with the results.
