I remember all of these early Azrael issues were so hard to find back in the day.

Wow. That first episode of CARRIE. Masterful stuff from Mike Flanagan and team. The way the story is being updated for 2026, while maintaining so much of its core essence, is especially brilliant. Summer H. Howell is fantastic in the title role. Flanagan taking on Stephen King never misses.

At the end of the day, we are all just people. Putting others into boxes designed to de-humanize is an easy way out of real conversation, and does no one any favors. I say this on October 7th as a call for empathy for those grieving, and as a condemnation of hate in any form it may take.

Ospreay vs Okada … what a match. Getting something like this on free TV is pretty amazing. #AEWDynamite

Her arc across these episodes was nothing short of brilliant. If this is the end, so long (again!) to one of the best TV series going. If not … curious to see what’s next.

It’s funny, after not really loving the season premiere, the rest of S4 has been pretty phenomenal in my book. In particular, Tanya Reynolds as Coach Chilton proved to be an incredible addition to the cast, and really was the standout character of the season.

The TED LASSO finale - wow, so many emotions. First of all, we still don’t know of the show is coming back! (again!) If not, this episode felt like a legit series finale (again!). If it is coming back, where do they go from here?

Almost every big fan theory around Lanterns included some elements of the Geoff Johns comic book run. But it was clear the show had no real interest in adapting it. I'd still love to see the epic space opera of that era brought to live-action one day - but this show just was never going to be that.

Another successful trip to Knott’s Scary Farm - one of my favorite annual October traditions. Was probably the hottest it’s ever been while I was there, but crowds seemed a little less insane than in years’ past - which is good. Really liked the new mazes and shows, too.

The un-mentioned elephant in the room, of course, is that as NBC was airing To Catch a Predator they also had the biggest predator of all starring on his own reality show.

Danny Baram @dannybaram.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

PRIMETIME - a disturbing, darkly funny film that will stick with me. Pattinson serves up a full course meal here in terms of quotable moments. And as someone who started working at NBC circa 2006 ... it really hits home how strange and at times morally bankrupt the TV biz could be in that era.

Under a different administration, perhaps there would be actual oversight to prevent monopolistic mergers and corporations chasing infinite growth at the expense of the very industries they drive into the ground in pursuit of that goal.

Yes. I have Long COVID that can be debilitating in certain situations (luckily gotten less severe with LDN and other meds). But people have often discounted it or said I seem fine. I have had a lot of treatment. But others I know have clearly not been the same since COVID yet haven't been diagnosed.

AEW put on an absolutely incredible show tonight in honor of PAC / Benjamin Satterley. Sad yet joyful. Packed with genuine emotion, yet filled with the kind of surreal and heightened moments that pro-wrestling, at its best, does so well. This was really something special that I won't soon forget.

THE LAST DRIVER, a new comic book series written and drawn by one of my favorites, Sean Gordon Murphy, positively rips. It's a dystopian action adventure with shades of Escape From New York as well as classic "driver" films like Bullitt. The artwork, as always from Murphy, is incredible.

RIP to Dennis Haskins. Like everyone else my age, loved him on Saved By the Bell. But also, when I moved to Burbank in 2005 he really was a local legend. We'd spot him on the NBC lot all the time when I was a Page. And he was a regular at the Dimples karaoke bar across the street. Stay cool, Mr. B.

Had a chance to see FORGOTTEN ISLAND. Please go and support this movie in theaters! It's an absolutely awesome animated film - one of the best original animated features in a long time. Amazing visuals, an eye-popping fantasy world ... but also SO much heart. Bonus: full of great 90's references!

Homer Simpson, the quintessential Boomer character, calling another character “Boomer” in a derogatory manner on this season’s The Simpsons premiere … because due to the show running for almost 40 years he is now improbably retconned into being a Millennial. Time is weird, man.

Devastating to hear the news about PAC (Benjamin Satterley). Truly one of the most talented wrestlers of his generation. Always put on incredible matches, with impeccable technique and athleticism. His Black Arrow finisher was awe-inspiring. And he had a great match just last night! Simply shocking.

An absolutely epic show tonight from Iron Maiden in LA. My second time seeing them. And my lord, Bruce Dickinson is still as amazing as ever. He sang the hits with operatic power. He ran around the stage. And as always, the consummate showman. What a way to celebrate my birthday weekend.

Here's the thing with AI as relates to film/TV creation: the main people who want or care about this are money men desperate to bolster their own bottom lines - not creatives and not consumers. Names like Nolan, Cregger, and Peele are what drive box office. "Made by AI" does/will not sell tickets.

Watched FALLING DOWN for the first time this weekend. Didn't actually know much about this one going in - didn't realize it was a whole Taxi Driver-esque situation about a truly deranged protagonist. Certain stuff hasn't totally aged well, but still very entertaining and memorable (and super dark).
