I was just talking to my friends about how Mothership is a game I'll always play. It's almost like a boardgame in how quick you can get it rolling. Regular Pathfinder campaign can't run because of last minute cancellation? Just roll up a Mothership pamphlet!

It's been years since my #ttrpg group has played 5e. We've been having a blast with some looser games, like Mothership and Mythic Bastionland. That said...when I read you get stuff at levels 3, 6, 9, and 12 in Lancer...that re-awoke a certain joy in the deep recesses of my 5e brain.

Along with this, I think it's nice sometimes to play games that just happen in our world, or something very equivalent. Have them play "true to self" and get comfortable there, and then take that comfort into lands more unlike our own.

One of my favorite improv comedy tips that works really well for #ttrpg games is Will Hines' Know, Care, Say. Know what you're doing. Care about what you're doing. Say that. As a GM, I try to keep my worlds open and flexible so they can "know" them, instead of just letting me decide. #dnd
