Dammit, you’re right, Mike! Putting in f bombs is not just (usually) lazy writing (or actors adlibbing), but also gives an automatic R rating, limiting potential financial upside. But, if a filmmaker thinks they’re getting an R for other reasons anyway, then at least earn the f’s creatively.

Proud to say I once got Mr. Jones a “goddamned ham sandwich!” while I was a PA for one day on reshoots of VOLCANO. To be fair, he wasn’t truly mad at me as much as he was at the craft service guy who asked me too many questions about what kind of ham sandwich Mr. Jones wanted.

Yes, and… there are over a dozen great film festivals in the Caribbean which rarely get any coverage in the trades. Some of my favorite festival experiences seeing diverse films and meeting amazing filmmakers have been in Barbados, Trinidad, Bahamas, Belize, etc.

Right on, Mike! Proud to say with my film 18 ½, it got the most real viewer engagement when it played on Starz for 18 month window, and they really put it in fairly decent rotation on their networks. Similarly we had great viewership on airplanes: JetBlue, VirginAtlantic, etc. Prime is a dead zone.
