Obsessed with the hidden angle measuring part of this beautiful folding ruler

Wooden ruler, orange on a white background. Numbers and pips are set in black. The ruler is partially rotated around a brass pin revealing lines marking angles for 90, 75, 60, 45, 30, and 15 degrees.

Explorations

A close up of something larger. Geometric style, stark.

Orange ring around a black circle with the word 'list' inside

Green ring around a grey circle with the word 'grid' inside, there are multiple concentric outlines for the grey circle

The rings have a glow

To the right is a cropped grey donut shape.

The background is black.

Thanks pal! I wanted it to feel like my gameboy

Original gameboy on an orange desk mat. The gameboy has been modified with a clear transparent case, backlit screen, upgraded speaker, and transparent orange d pad and a b buttons.

Super Mario Land 2 title screen is on the display.

A keyboard is in the top left and a blue gameboy camera in the bottom right.

Screenshot from Josh W Comeau’s blog post:

We've built a medical system that is cleanly divided into two halves: we have psychologists and other therapists for the mind, and then we have physicians and other medical doctors for the body.
This seems like a nonsensical distinction to me; the mind is part of the body, and what happens in one will affect the other. And yet, there is no established medical field that specializes in physical issues with psychological causes.
In fact, when physicians suspect that a patient's issues may be psychosomatic, they tend to be dismissive, as though it's no longer their job to treat the patient.
They'Il be tossed over the fence to the
"psychology" world, but this isn't a good fit either, since the issue is distinctly physical, and psychologists have no idea how to treat RSls. This is a stunning gap in modern medicine which, as Dr.
Sarno puts it, "borders on the criminal"
Fortunately, science does seem to be

Though I will say the X-Y mixer does look like it would be interesting

Cropped close up of the sloppy AI mixer from one of the product photos.

The main body of the mixer has something similar to a graph with a horizontal and vertical lines. On the graph is a single control which looks like it would have to slide across the surface to be used.

Not important to the image, but still fun to point out, the turntables have no arms. They might read from the bottom/back — but that is a generous interpretation.

2025 complete. Worked on great things with quality people. I end the year convinced — more than ever — that the best future is one where those who design and build work closer together. And using shared languages, tools, and incentives. danmh.xyz/wrapped-2025/
