I’ll report back if and when I learn more! We now have three different pile types I’m working on. The shreds are only a part of making sure this dirt hobby keeps a good supply of soil for the garden. Oh! Here’s a garden pick with tomatoes in full swing.

And a few weeks later, here’s the healthier pile! Bristol Stool Chart can’t classify it nearly as easily. About 10 buckets of shreds has dried and aired both sides out. But the clods really bugged me still. So I did something REALLY GROSS: I reached in and started breaking them up by hand.

Much healthier color compost in both sides. Left still not the best. Wetter. More clumpy.

Shredding paper by hand is a pain in the butt. So I turned domestic and obtained a paper shredder at Goodwill. This sent it into overdrive. Bill? Shredded. Newspaper? Shredded. Shipping dunnage? Shredded. Cardboard itself? Also shredded with some effort. This turbocharged the transformation.

Hey @elcannibal.bsky.social I fixed the AC I mentioned about two years ago on my Grand Marquis. Replaced the automatic temperature control unit and this bone-headed blend door servo that required dropping the dash and digging around behind the passenger airbag. #MakeShitMonday
