DHH's passion project "Omarchy" is the best thing for desktop Linux PR in years. We are really going to see a fantastic influx of new Linux users because of all this positive press.

This is called biting the hand that feeds you

Would have been morally correct to kill Hitler before he ordered any of the terrible things he did? With no foreknowledge. Based entirely on his rhetoric.

I didn't know about the tweet. That is sketchy. Could be he caught the news as it happened unlikely but who knows. It is weird that they haven't caught him yet. The other weird thing is between this and the attempt on Trump, security is not as good as I would have thought it would be

I've seen someone headshot a turkey at that range. I couldn't but lots of people can shoot better than me. From the roof he'd have had a clear view.

I didn't claim to have more than an anecdote. I'm sharing my lived experience.

Maybe but if it gets pinned on them I'd expect fall out. False flag is also possible. Lone crazy also possible. The fact that he was blatantly standing on the roof makes him seem a little amateur to me.

Also the performance here is pretty good compared to last time.

And that's awesome because the freedom to post where you want is cool. May the best content win.

Yeah we have a restaurant in town that serves southern Indian food. It's really good but I still think northern food is slightly better.

110

DanielW_Kiwi🦔 @danielwalmsley.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

For a long time I considered north Indian cuisine to be the best but now I'm starting to think Vietnamese might be better.

I normally get really hungry around 3pm. Now that I'm gluten free most snacks suck. So instead I started drinking water. I don't think I was ever hungry. Just dehydrated.

As a kid we had candles in the house that we broke out during power cuts. Now there is no point. We have so many battery powered devices that have lights on them.

The SAFE stack in F# is really great for full stack web apps. Asp dot net under the hood on the backend and react under the hood on the front end but with a seamless F# experience. safe-stack.github.io

Nitrates in tap water increase bowel cancer. Micro plastics from bottled water end up in the balls. Where exactly am I supposed to get water from?

How do you feel about block lists? I worry about the potential for abuse. Don't like someone? Get them on a block list. At the same time it's really nice to be able to filter out stuff you don't want. I have no answers.

Bro, you're one of the smartest folks around. To be even able to self teach this stuff. Don't take the critique too hard.
