My printer is made for receipts, not for art, so it was the perfect medium for #genuary7 : use software that is not intended to create art . I sent characters and used the few available modification parameters to adjust them. #genuary2025 #thermalprinter #genuary

#genuary4 prompt is black on black. I created an ink blob function, and then ran the same piece of paper multiple times through the printer. The auto cutter made it shorter each time! #genuary2025 #thermalprinter

This is a Fairino? Is it any good? I would love to get a cobot for an art project, and this seems relatively affordable... I wonder what's different about it than a UR3e which is 5 times more expensive...!

For this reason, and for creating an easy UI, I started with p5js at first.. but then a noise function made my sketch run ~100x slower in the browser than in processing so we're back to a compiled language...

I like the language but not all of the IDE. I find myself switching back and forth between VSCode and Processing to make use of both their best features... Sadly processing does not have autosave. What's your favorite creative code lang that works well in VSCode? #processing
