Yeah it was weird. I had issues with them ignoring Dee's run on The Challenge and Angela on Amazing Race too but that's not as egregious. Maybe he'll get to go on Traitors and be more appreciated.

I would love to hear from Jason (and maybe he did this interview but I missed it) about being a Paramount reality star who wasn't called an icon. I doubt it was his choice but if he had leaned into his #DragRace fame when the game didn't want him too he probably would have been punished by producers

I want to quote screenshot this whole excellent piece from Marisa, but this especially - we *make* the words, we don't just regurgitate without the feeling, without the things that makes us human.

AI may help you construct content, but it will not create memories. It will, at best, rehash ones you already made, and at worst, create false ones. It does not experience, it does not struggle, it does not feel: all essential parts of turning a pile of information into a story.

Agree and yet... I am driving cross-country right now and the amount of times I have looked at my dog in the passenger seat and said, "I'm bored. I wish you could play the license plate game with me" is ridiculous. This country (at least my route) is so flat and dull. It all looks the same!

Agree that it's the way they're used that I think makes them immoral. But I still feel gross about the fact that we as a culture watch everything from behind screens and feel the need to document so much ridiculous stuff -- these are just lenses, instead of phones.

Sometimes I watch my dog doing something cute and wish I was filming but my instinct was not to grab a phone. If I was wearing Meta glasses, there's clearly no thinking involved when filming. That's bad, I know that's bad, it makes me feel gross. Yet if there's ONE acceptable use, I think it's this.

I don't think they HAVE to. But that's a whole strategy and who's in control discussion. But also, if they are going to end up on Hot Ones, I need them to stop telling Sean he's so good at his questions. He memorizes a lot of preamble to make it seem complex but the questions are usually basic.

"Carter said that Seasons 10 and 11 of the show, revived in the 2010s, gave X-Files fans “their fill of Mulder and Scully and their relationship." I was a casual #XFiles watcher at best but even I know the relationship is WHY so many watched. That Chris thinks there is ever enough "fill" is wild.
