Working hard to get back into the groove of a blog post each week. Today's post is about how to find a professional genealogist in Australia. Free template to download, which can be used for any country, not just Australia. Hope it helps!

Combined two of my favourite tools - timelines and Excel - and wrote a new blog post! Good timing, as I'm lecturing tonight for @socaustgen.bsky.social about using Excel for genealogy. Blog post is here: generationsgenealogy.com.au/excel-geneal... #Genealogy #FamilyHistory #GenealogyTips #Excel

My latest Beginners Research Methods for genealogists course is underway and I was talking about the value of genealogy timelines. So, of course, that prompted me to blog about them. First article in my new series is out now. generationsgenealogy.com.au/use-genealog...

My latest blog post shows you how to build a genealogy timeline in Notion. You can build one giant timeline containing everyone, then create linked views for specific purposes and subsets. Let me know what you think! 🔗 generationsgenealogy.com.au/genealogy-ti... #Genealogy #Notion #ResearchTools

Catching up on my blogging and social media after a few months being distracted by research and life. I have a new blog series starting today about using Notion for family history. My workshop next week booked out pretty quickly, so I must get my tips up on my website asap!

Totally obsessed with using Notion for genealogy! Really appeals to my need to have lists and keep on top of what to do next. Am giving a webinar on this soon, for Society of Australian Genealogists

Devoting more time to reading, target is three books a month. My aim was to clear my shelves of books I still haven't read, but then I went and bought another new one... Mary Beard's Women & Power #WomensHistory

I had a genealogy eureka moment while walking the dogs this morning. I love the way the brain works on stuff when you are relaxing. I was planning 2025 yesterday and my brain kept at it without conscious thought. New genealogy research tool idea. Excited by the potential. #genealogy #FamilyHistory
