My boy was 13 & big too. He was the best. Leia is truly special cause I didn't know if I could ever do it again. It's almost been a year since my Dublin died.

My husband put Leia on a lead in the yard today so she could run. Our fence isn't closed off yet. She just sat there & stared at him. 😂 She is super attached to him.

Leia had her first vet appointment today. She is a bit underweight, but everything else is great! Now to treat her a lot and fatten her up! She did have a pup cup as a reward after.

Leia and I are floored at all the responses and likes. To answer some questions: she is 1.5 yrs old & the people who rescued her said she was a husky mix. We will do a DNA test soon & I'll let you know. Thank you for loving her & wishing us well!

We just went for a walk without Dad. She did great & is pooped! She has bonded with him, but seems to like me too luckily. Her crate is still her safe place. Though she comes out a lot more now!

For those who are curious. This is the beautiful baby. The last 24 hours she had his in her crate even though she knows us. Poor baby really needed a safe space.
