I had the same thing happen around 3 AM this morning.

I put together this Speed Racer over a couple of streams this week. Kind of a quick piece, but fun. I think I may have drawn this character once in my life. #comics #speedracer #mach5 #comicsketchcover #madcavestudios

The request was for Man-Thing on a Swamp-Thing cover. I feel that Marvel is really dropping the ball by not putting out a Man-Thing sketch cover. I mean, just do a Giant-Size reprint or something! #manthjng #swampthing #comics #blanksketchcover #marvel

If I were to start an X-Mem team I’d start with this group right here and add in Wolverine, Storm, and Magneto. So, basically the “80s Magneto is the headmaster of the school” Claremont run with Magik all grown up. #comics #blankcomiccover #magik #xmen #marvel

The flip side to the last Spidey cover I did. I had to use a Posca paint marker to get this blue color. I’m not a fan of the Posca plastic tips, so I was kind of grumpy having to use it. But, it was the right call and the color worked out well. #comics #blankcomiccover #spidey #spiderman #marvel

Daniel Olson @danieljayolson.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

Finished product. Had to use acrylic markers to paint over the circle that is printed on this book, which worked better than I’d thought. I switched to the Sharpie brand from Posca, because it has a better flow and the brush tips are easier on the paper. ##conics #blankcomiccover #spiderman #marvel

Progress so far on an ASM #301 commission. I’ve been asked to do a #301 and #300 homage. I prefer how John Romita did the webbing on Spidey’s suit, so I’m using that as inspiration instead of McFarlane’s webbing. #comics #blankcomiccover #spidey #spiderman #marvel

From what I’ve read, yeah. 😒

Finished the Ahsoka piece last night. Well, nearly finished. I have to clean up the light red background tonight, but close enough! #comics #comiccover #sketchcomiccover #starwars #ahsoka #clonewars

Daniel Olson @danieljayolson.bsky.social · 31/07/2025

Been busy at work on my book and haven’t had much time outside of my streams to work on commissions. However, I did manage to get started on this one on Tuesday. Hoping to finish it all up, including colors, tonight. #comics #sketchcover #starwars #ahsoka

Daniel Olson @danieljayolson.bsky.social · 25/07/2025

Finished this back cover last night. It’s Kraven dressed as Spidey from the famous Kraven’s Last Hunt story. I had to use three different colors to come away with the right shade for the sky. #comics #sketchcover #blankcomiccover #spidey #spiderman #kraven #marvel

Last night my kids wanted to draw together. My oldest is really interested in learning more about anatomy, so I sat down and gave her a quick lesson. It was pretty fun! While they were doing quick figure drawings I doodled in this sketch book. #art #familytime #sketchbook

Aaaaannnnd….done. Not the first time working on black paper with colored pencils, but probably the best work I’ve done on it. This is an homage to the classic Mike Zeck Amazing Spidey #294 cover. #comics #blankcomiccover #spiderman #spidey #kraven #marvel

Surprised myself last night as I completed this Jo e Fixit version of the Incredible Hulk in just a few hours. I typically work pretty slow, so I was hyped that I got it done so quickly. #comics #blankcover #joefixit #hulk #marvel

I re-read Grommets last night by @remender.bsky.social, Brian Posehn, @blitzcadet.bsky.social, and Moreno Donisio (this time on @globalcomix.com — don’t worry I bought the books too!) Loved the story, nostalgia, art, all of it, basically. I was so mad there wasn’t another panel at the end.

Last week I posted about how my graphic novel, Swerved reached 1,000 views in four months. One week later the views doubled. I don’t know why this is happened, but I thank you all. If you’re interested in giving it a read go and check it out on @globalcomix.com #comics #graphicnovels #globalcomix

A little work in progress. An homage to the classic Mike Zeck cover, but using Spidey’s black suit to work more like the PS Spidey video game. I don’t work on non-white paper often, but the Prismacolor colored pencils sure make it fun. #comics #sketchcomic #spidey #spiderman #kraven #marvel

I’ll be streaming on Whatnot tonight for the Artist Raid Train at 9 PM CT for 20 mins. I have a few sketches for bidding (check the pics) & some other goodies too! Check the Linktree in my bio for more info. See ya then! #comics #sketchcards #battlebeast #popeye #superman #flash #dccomics

Here’s a recent cover I did for fun. I like how the bolts coming off of the Flash turned out. I went for an Ed McGuinness style Supes here, but it didn’t turn out as I’d hoped. This will be available this Sunday on Whatnot @ 9 PM CT. #comics #sketchcards #flash #superman #dccomics #fanart

Want to hear something nuts? I put my graphic novel, Swerved, up on Global Comix earlier this year. I hopped on yesterday to read some books and saw a notification. It has 1,000 views! That book was a labor of love. globalcomix.com/c/swerved #comics #indiecomics #wrestling #sliceoflife

Here is a Nightwing and Batgirl piece I’ve been working on. Still a few things I’d like to try and go back to. For instance, I forgot to add her eye color. This is a part of the “Tea Party” series that @thelasthometown has been putting together. #comics #sketchcover #nightwing #batgirl #dccomics

I don’t typically do sports requests, but this was too hard to pass up. I think the composition is well done, but I think I could have done a little better with Ant’s face. If more sports requests come about I’m sure it’ll look a bit better. #timberwolves #nba #sports #basketball #art #sportsart

Man, I was going to show off my big ass Toth book, because I thought I had taken a pic of it, but instead you’ll have to settle for this dumbass selfie with a yellow highlight of where it exists on my shelf.
