Look, I really don't like using people's appearance against them because that leads instantly to eugenics and therefore fash talk. I also don't like doing the beard comparison thing because I am extremely hirsute and obviously win most beard comparisons, even at my middle age.

I could name a lot of examples here, but the one that is often overlooked is The Intruder (1962). Directed by Roger Corman (that Roger Corman) and starring William Shatner (that William Shatner). Filmed in the midst of the Civil Rights era. Shockingly relevant even today.

Why would anyone give this sweet girl up to the local animal shelter? (I am told that she was given up because she bit a child who cornered her and reached for her. Which, as a kid who had cats very young, feels like a issue with the parents.)

My first Christmas after my divorce, I made (very much not authentic) tacos de asada. They were actually pretty delicious. I think I'm going to try to make fresh corn tortillas for New Year's.

But Brittany Venti is totally not a racist, or a eugenicist, as she's always claimed of course. (Admittedly I haven't tracked Venti in years. She was very much a pre-2017 flash in the pan who made waves because she was conventionally "hot" and "edgy." She has probably been like this for awhile.)
