It’s a good day to play in the kitchen. Granola, blueberry oat breakfast bars, and chicken barley soup. Ingredients courtesy of Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian, and other non-US producers.

In case you were wondering, Auckland is absolutely worth the 24 hrs & 17,000 km in the air. I spent last week in Auckland for the WACE International Research Symposium to present a paper co-authored by my colleague Dr. Laura Gatto and a bunch of awesome undergrad students (more on that later).

When I think of my experience as an interdisciplinary researcher & supports available from Canada's Tri-Council funding agencies, it feels like this: Not quite NSERC, go to SSHRC or CIHR. Not quite SSHRC, go to CIHR or NSERC. Not quite CIHR, go to NSERC or SSHRC. It leaves me dizzy. #Research

Dear NFRF team - this question runs counter to the idea of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work. I shouldn't be forced to pick one agency. I should be allowed to pick all that apply. cc: @shoshanahjacobs.bsky.social #CanadianResearch #CanadianFunding #HigherEd
