Representation is important because it inspires the next generation of scientists that they do belong in STEM. Our community leads with brilliance, integrity, and passion in the research and scientific outreach they have worked on to improve the science and society as a whole.

This has been the worst flu I’ve had since I was a kid. I’m feeling much better but I did have to go to urgent care and get an IV. I know it seems dumb of me to not mask knowing my diagnosis. I’m still coming to terms with RA & understanding that my immune system just doesn’t work like it used to.

CNS was my first conference after getting diagnosed with RA. I’m still coming to terms with what that means for me & taking care of my body. I realized that I should’ve been way more careful about masking. Caught a terrible flu on the last day and I’ve been recovering since.
