Every time I walk down Ayala Avenue in Makati this is what I see in my head. I think of all the traffic driving right past dying retail replaced with booming restaurants and businesses. Imagine the surge in collectable retail taxes for the city.
A walkable version of Ayala Avenue in Makati, with booming retail fac ing the street.

Messing with those who keep poking for holes.

Even with multiple direct instructions not to do so, and resetting of context, Gemini really, really wants to use external citations that are unauthorised publications of our works.
Yet another example of Gemini referencing illegal publications of our works even when told not to use external references.

IMO, the argument that LLMs are mass plagiarism machines is extremely valid.

In converting Two Scoops of Django's LaTeX to Markdown, Gemini sometimes uses stolen copies as citations. I keep having to tell it to stop using citations, only rely on the sources I provide. That's to help ensure that the LLM isn't adding slop, just converting formats.
An example of Gemini citing an illegally published copy of earlier versions of Two Scoops of Django.

The MCs at PyCon Davao have amazing voices. The art and design is lovely. The local food delicious and unique. The people so friendly.

I might be far from London and all my friends there, but at least there's M&S in Manila.

Coming in Air 0.32, released hopefully tomorrow! To make reading HTML output easier, we will have features for converting dense HTML to pretty printed HTML! All credit goes to github.com/tallerasaf for the PR and @willmcgugan.bsky.social for the rich library its built on.
What browsers see being output from Air, which is HTML with unnecessary whitespace stripped for speed and efficiency. What developers can see if they so choose. Which is HTML formatted for clarity and highlighted for easier reading.

Fun fact: I use my personal site as bookmark tool for coder tricks. And until today the article on my personal site I referenced the most is the one on GitHub admonitions. I've memorised the dialogue so now I can move on. 😀
