I'm pretty certain these kinds of things are just bot emails, sent to any streamer who has their email available somewhere

It's funny how he can say left-aligned people are the ones being too caught up in culture war issues when it's the right leaning candidates that run on them Meanwhile DSA candidates are running on things like universal health care, affordable child care, investment in infrastructure, etc.

I don't really want to like make this about me, but I gotta say that its frustrating as hell that Twitch is costing me money here, as everybody around me is talking about how they want to cancel their subs for this. (I don't blame a single person who wants to. You're not the problem here.)

note that even if you opt your channel out, your chat messages will still be used to train twitch/amazon's generative AI models if you chat in someone's stream who hasn't opted out. my advice is to be annoying about asking. any streamer who's opted out will be glad to tell you so.

What channel content (clips, chat, metadata, etc.) is eligible to be used for generative AI training?

Your stream and the stream's chat, your VODs, your Clips, Highlights, and any text or images on your Channel may be used. If you chat on someone else's stream, their opt-out preferences govern if that chat can be used for training.

Twitch now uses your channel to train generative AI by default. You can opt out of some training here: www.twitch.tv/settings/sec...

Training for Generative AI

Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon. Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features that benefit the community by facilitating streamer growth and monetization (such as real-time sponsorship campaign assistance), viewer discovery (such as recommendations), and community safety (such as AutoMod). do not abandon your streamers. your time watching is more valuable to most streamers than anything else, if you don't want to give money to twitch you don't have to. look for your streamers alternative support methods. if you want them to make content, they need you there.

Forever this

One time I was leaving a friend's place and an older lady with basically no English came up to me and communicated that she was very cold and needed a ride. She pointed to tell me where to go.

I got there and her daughter or granddaughter came out and was like OMG her phone died we were worried

and then the older lady said something and the younger lady translated

"she knew she could trust you because you have pink hair."

I thought it was funny at the time. But when I think back on it I think she was basically saying you had a visible sign of not Vibing with the system I was afraid of.

be weird. Be colorful. Help random people.

Much like queer and minority communities, and trade unionists of the past, furries will lead the way to a better future free of our capitalist shackles

LRT sidenote nobody asked for: Furry becoming mainstream feels almost inevitable, but with the way the community staunchly opposes corporatism, it is fertile ground for collective class consciousness and revolutionary action
