The Year (and then some) at Crunchyroll Some of the roles I voiced in the English dubs for Crunchyroll in the past 14 months. Apologies, I don’t have clips to show. Thanks to all I worked with! Looking forward to 2026! #lifeatcrunchyroll #anime #dubbing #characters #voiceacting

*ROLE ANNOUNCEMENT* A little late in posting this; I voiced a Male Doctor and did some zombie sounds in S2 Ep20 of “Toilet-bound Hanako-kun” for @crunchyroll.com, directed by Jad Saxton. As always—grateful for the opportunity!

Well, I can finally say I landed a role playing a usually inanimate object. I recently booked a national commercial for Sling TV where I voiced…a singing bar stool. Very grateful for the opportunity, and thanks to Ale at Voices and Voces! #commercial #booking #slingtv #voiceactor #voiceover

When I was younger, and there were fewer channels to watch, CBS was my least favorite… …still is.

This past Sunday I took part in an amazing class: Auditioning for Anime, taught by @_jasonlord_ /@studio__topaz What great insight into breaking down the various sides one would come across in an anime audition. I learned a LOT! #studiotopaz #auditioningforanime #classes #voiceacting #voiceover

I still feel very strongly about what SoundCloud did. Unfortunately, because the new player I found is a pain to load into my site, SC audio needs to remain for now. Deleting my account will strip my entire site of voiceover content. Stay tuned, I will get changes made ASAP

000

Dane Petersen @danepetersenvoice.bsky.social · 12/05/2025

Sigh. I spent a good chunk of my weekend researching audio players. I’m not on Wix or Squarespace so it’s not as simple as plugging something in. But, I can still code a bit from my web design days so I need something that works with my Page Builder, AND allows users to download. Mixcloud is out.

A bit of an update to the SoundCloud TOS change and AI. (via futurism.com). I look at these statements with a side-eye… and BTW, the terms were changed in February 2024 and are just now coming to light…

Dane Petersen @danepetersenvoice.bsky.social · 09/05/2025

Seriously SoundCloud? Well, I guess this makes the decision to pull my content and leave that much easier. Their new TOS:

I did find two apps that allegedly open CapCut files, but I believe it was a Google AI answer so I needed to ask around

020

Dane Petersen @danepetersenvoice.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Thanks. CapCut at least saves all raw elements in its own folder so—while it’s time consuming to have to start from scratch essentially, all is not totally lost

Dane Petersen @danepetersenvoice.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

#voiceactors or #videoeditors: Does anyone here know of any video editing apps that can import CapCut files? With CapCut being a ByteDance app, it’s under the same shaky ground as TikTok. However, there are a lot of my videos I’d like to not have to re-edit. Thanks!
