In the spring I agreed to become the new leader of the Saturday School Danish lessons at the Danish Church in London. Trying to find teachers, all volunteers, over the summer has been one of tge most stressful things I’ve ever had to do.

So, I found out today that a past (1920s-1940s) member of staff always known as Miss Davies was in fact married and was Mrs White. Nothing in our archive, not even her obit in The Times or staff magazine, has any indication that she was married. But marriage certificate on Ancestry does not lie.

Me - having sung in a church choir from age 9 to 19 and having decided on Danish hymns for my wedding when I was a teen - emails organist with hymn number & details of tune incl. which arrangement I’d prefer. Organist: “If every bride was as organised as you my job would be much easier!”

It's a little known fact that back in the old days #Orkney horses were masters of disguise and could easily blend into their surroundings. You might not believe this but there is a horse standing in this photograph. LIKE if you think you see it. SHARE if you DEFINITELY see it.

I’ve had glasses since I was 9, until I was an adult it gradually got worse. The. The last 8 years or so my eyesight has gotten better at every eye test. Is that normal?
