Inspired by kinoselynn's (twitter/tumblr) fishwashing/merwashing au ! Sol is a pleco (type of armored catfish). Wanted to include Daisuke and Anya in this one too since I loved their designs #mouthwashing #fishwashing #merwashing #mouthwashingoc #yumeship #ocxcanon

A digital sheet of an original character for Mouthwashing, Sol, as a mermaid. There are five seperate drawings. The first is the center piece and the largest, a full body illustration showing Sol as a pleco mermaid with her hands in front of her. To the top right is an illustration of Sol hiding and peeking around a structure. The structure has text that reads "Plecos like having places to hide. It helps them avoid predators. They're also nocturnal, mostly."

To the bottom right is an illustration of Sol holding Anya, who is also a mermaid. Anya is a betta fish mermaid. There is text above them reading "gay little fish".

To the center left of the main drawing is a tiny version of Sol curled up into a ball and hugging onto her tail with her eyes shut. Text to the left reads "All that armor and she's still like this."

To the bottom left is an illustration of Sol getting snuck up on and scared by Daisuke. He is a clownfish mermaid. Text above him reads "menace", and the text beside Sol reads "got scared by Daisuke sneaking up on her".

To the top left of the image there is text that reads: "Soledad 'Sol' in Fishwashing/Merwashing" and below it, it reads "Hypostomus Plecostomus a.k.a.: Pleco.
Fins: Dorsal (1 spine, 7 soft rays), Caudal (17-20), Anal (1 spine, 3-5 soft rays), Pectoral (1 spine, 3-5 soft rays), Pelvic (1 spine, 5 soft rays), Adipose fin (present), 4 gills on either side (8 in all), no scales! armor plates instead"

Ref for my mouthwashing oc, Sol ! I'll work on a character relationships/interaction chart when I can, but for now know that she is incredibly gay over Anya feel free to ask stuff abt them :D #mouthwashing #mouthwashingoc #art #refsheet

Reference sheet for Soledad "Sol" Rodriguez, my original character for Mouthwashing. Included are two side by side full body drawings of her facing the viewer. The version on the left has her in a black sports bra and underwear, each with dark pink hems. She has hyperpigmentation patches on shoulders, neck, and two under her eyes. She has some body hair and a large tattoo on her right leg. The tattoo is of a pink jellyfish with asphodels going all along the jellyfish's tentacles, and the tatto wraps around the leg. The version on the right shows her wearing a black turtleneck and her blue jumpsuit uniform. She wears the jumpsuit hanging around her waist and over her belt, which has a golden sun for a buckle. Her hair is split dyed, pink on the right and green on the left. She wears a glass jellyfish pendant around her neck and she has three visible piercings (ears, septum, and bridge). Her septum and bridge jewelry are green, with her bridge jewelry looking like two stars.

To the right of her is her ID and a tag that says medical intern in quotes, and underneath it there are notes. They read: "Fluent in english & spanish (forgets enlgish words sometimes)", "Bachelors in Biological Scienes (Ecology focus). Minored in statistics & psychology", "Helps Anya run medbay. Hasn't gone to medschool, doesn't plan to. Just needs work experience to get into grad school",
"Takes over psych evals specifically to fuck w/ Jimmy & give Anya a break", "Drinks coffee w/ milk before bed. Brought her own coffee w/ her", "Sings old Cuban lullabies/kids songs to herself at night", "Can handle blood, but a bt squeamish w/ other bodily fluids", "Gets cold very easy & hates cramped spaces".

The version of her on the left has a few notes too. The notes read: "Almost passedout when getting septum & bridge piercings", "Ears pierced as a baby", "Hyperpigmentation patches", "Glass jellyfish pendant their sibling gave as a gift", "Tattoo didn't hurt much (color did)".

♫ But, I'll tell you what, I'm not afraid to die I'm more afraid of what might happen first Either way it's not like we'll get out alive I can't say that I know which one is worse ♫ #mouthwashing #mouthwashinganya #fanart

A digital illustration of Anya from Mouthwashing. She is shown with her hands over her face, her hands making a "w" shape. Her eyes, nose, and mouth are showing and she looks tired. The image is tinted blue and she is surrounded by small stars

A digital illustration of Anya from Mouthwashing, almost entirely the same as the previous illustration save for one detail. Her right eye (the eye on the left from the viewer's perspective) has been carved out in the shape of a small cube
