Sad day as a family-frequented neighborhood park in FPSE was disassembled for what may be a “better use” on paper. Emphasizes the need for Chouteau Park to pull more weight in drawing neighbors together. Those plans in the works, but currently seeking community donors to finalize conceptual plans.

Appraisals on my block went up ~9%. Most lived-in homes are valued at/under $50k. Homes recently renovated of similar size/age have so much variation. What is true appraisal value? It's the show where everything's made up and the facts don't matter.

My neighbor bought & finished flipping his house the same yr as when mine was completed. Same sized brick bungalow built in late 1800s. But city appraisals between our houses couldn't be more different. All for paying my fair share of taxes but like I've paid $14k+ more than him last 1/2 decade. 😐
