the power of yuri motivates me to continue grinding in getting high scores in this game. i have never experienced such motivation in my many years of playing video games. though i’ve been winding down recently, because i dont want for the magic to be worn off and getting bored of it eventually…

From the moment I see the stories and ending, I can’t help but think, “oh shit, yuri? My first exposure to yuri?? SIGN ME UP” Sure, some people may argue that them hugging each other doesn’t mean it’s romantic, but oh, it’s just so hard to ignore……………. They are meant to be with each other………..

But I like to think that it’s still yuri. Hell, most who are in the Rhythm Heaven community agree. It’s so much more cuter that way. If Nintendo puts two women in a story who are friends with each other, both are doomed (in a good way) to be shipped as lesbians. Beatspell is one such case.

I guess it’s “implied” yuri? There are no mentions of them both loving each other, but the way they behave (especially Narra) is slightly above friendship. Without getting into spoilers, the story is sort of akin to “toxic yuri, but with a good ending, in a character development way”.

If we’re talking literal yuri, out of 5, unfortunately, it gets a 2. The writers intend to put Yu and Narra as long-time friends in the story. This is Nintendo we’re talking about, so their relationship is probably non-romantic.

i did it. it feels so good and is very rewarding. i find the ending dialogue to be extremely wholesome, considering the story. ghbhgughh, these two are so adorable.
