dancynrew.bsky.social @dancynrew.bsky.social · 6hOkay I finished Brideshead Revisited and I don't think that was about being Catholic actually. I think that was about not being allowed to be gay and still be seen as human. I'm going to lay down or maybe start smoking cigarettes 070
dancynrew.bsky.social @dancynrew.bsky.social · 11hWhen you're sewing around preprinted quilt patterns on a single piece of fabric. Well those are usually called cheater prints.... 070
dancynrew.bsky.social @dancynrew.bsky.social · 11hAlso interesting that people are trying to call these wholecloth quilts. I guess they are made with one piece of fabric but as I understand it a whole cloth quilt is a solid piece of color with very elaborate quilting patterns, the point is to show off the stitches. 170

dancynrew.bsky.social @dancynrew.bsky.social · 12hAnd where's the joy in the process... Where's the fun of picking out different fabrics that go together... Where's your interest in learning technique just to know something new.... 170

dancynrew.bsky.social @dancynrew.bsky.social · 12hThis is an opinion that really truly doesnt matter and at the end of the day I think you should make money being creative in whatever way you can. But I do tire of all the "I printed a pretty drawing onto a single piece of fabric and then traced the lines with stitches" quilts going around right now 1130
