Didn't get to work on him too much today (Opal said no felting!) but I'm really excited with how he's turning out ♥️ Gonna work on him some more at Stitchers on Tuesday, and hopefully do a little sculpting on the base during the week! Not much longer now...

Tripped and fell into a pottery class where you carve clay "jack-o'-lanterns", so I had to make my Opal pumpkin with her carved white chest spot and resting bitch face 🥹❤️ MY SHMUMPKIN They throw the initial "pumpkin" and glaze it for you (wahh) but she should be black when I get her back in 3 weeks!

My favorite gallery just announced their next project, and it's iNaturalist themed!!!! I almost cried with excitement during the meeting!!!! They ask that each artist makes 10 iNaturalist observations and then makes a piece of art around that. Can be about the process, what we saw, anything 😭❤️❤️❤️

Really excited to share that I'm in training to take over one of my local Christmas Bird Counts! ❤️ Apparently doing so at an interesting time since they're changing the system right now. This is my favorite of the 2 count circles I do every year too 🥹 I'm so excited!!!

Today turned out to be the most glorious chill-at-home-during-the-nor'easter day ever. Made chilli & corn bread, watched anime, played Big Walk with my siblings (in person bro & long distance sis), and cuddled Opal all day ❤️ 10/10 restful time.

He's done!!!! And now I'm obsessed with the idea of making cecropia eggs and a chrysalis out of different fiber mediums! Cecropia caterpillar crochet pattern by Kabelbinder! I made a lot of mistakes and had to nix the last xxs spikes when I ran out of blue yarn, but I'm so happy with him ❤️

Finally got back in with PT today but my insurance is so bad I have an obscene copay. Opted to make this my last appointment. The PT was really awesome, she consolidated all my workout sheets for me and gave me really great advice for how to approach the rest of my recovery. Appreciate her.

Update: his main body is done! 2 things: 1) I accidentally ordered the wrong yarn and had to crochet 2 strands at once lol; 2) I accidentally increased my tension after the 1st 2 body segments, so he got a fat booty... I can't wait to make the head next!!! (Sorry about the image dimensions lol)

Opal's vet appointment went pretty well. Starting some new meds to hopefully help her tummy, and the vet was happy with her current food. (Opal is also very happy with her current food lol) She's slowly improving, and was even excited to play with some new toys yesterday! Good job Sweet Bean 😭♥️
