Something that makes me smile. My daughter on a horse in the autumn sunshine amidst the trees.

I wanted to stay home sitting in the comfy chair under a blanket sipping coffee and writing on this drizzly day. That didn’t happen, but matzo ball soup and hot pastrami on rye was a pretty good consolation prize.

Do you know how long I have waited to be able to take a good pic of Mother Moon with my phone??? I only get a new phone every 7 or 8 years. It’s a simple silly thing that makes me giddy with joy. And she was voluptuous last night.

My spicy 🏳️‍🌈 17yo snuck out to my car last time I picked him up wearing an ill-fitting, old pair of these tights he stole from me. Didn’t want his dad to see him. I bought him a new pair. His size. Thicker, like socks, so he’ll be warm.

This year, I had to grow our things in pots and containers on our front porch. I’ve never tried growing carrots in a container. We picked them yesterday and ate them for dinner. They were beautiful and delicious and we had enough for each of us to have two tablespoons 🤣

There’s a story in this anthology called “Flicker” by L.D. Lewis that lives, rent-free, in my head. It’s about the degradation of the simulation and what that would look like to the folks in it. Terrifying.
