idk why but the combo of lake's silhouette + dot eyes + two beers in hand being the only thing you can see is KILLING me, it's so goofy

#sanjiweek2025 day 7 free prompt - fashion :3c happy sanji day!! (inspired by a tweet about older sanji gaining weight like zeff sorta)

left: a three panel comic. 40!sanji is pouring wine as ivankov asks him sweetly, "so, how have you been taking care of your maiden heart?" sanji rolls his eyes. "oh, that stuff? psh. i haven't done it in like, a decade. it would look ridiculous on me now." this makes ivankov yell, "are you kidding? what have you done to candy-chan? why would it be ridiculous?!" to which sanji says, "...do you see this beard? that's just... common sense," so ivankov yells again, "who said that? who do i need to kick? do i need to kick some real sense into you? gosh! wear whatever you want! or don't. see if i care." in the small doodles below, ivankov grumbles, "tch. what a waste of that gorgeous hair." sanji mumbles, "well... nothing fits the same anymore..." and iva replies happily, "oh! why didn't you say so? inazuma can help with that!"
middle: 40sanji with his hands clasped in front of him, wearing a loose red cardigan over a black turtleneck and a long pleated beige skirt. his hair is in an opera-style updo. he has a golden pendant around his neck.
right: 40sanji in a navy suit and grey coat, looking to the side with a small smile and a hand in his pocket. he has gold accessories like a watch chain and a tie pin. his hair is in a loose bun.

#zosan based on that one zoro filler episode after they return to water seven

zoro is using 3 baby style, carrying two babies in his arms and one with his mouth. sanji is behind him tying his hair and watching zoro with a skeptical look on his face.
dialogue:
sanji - is that safe? there's no way that's safe.
zoro - relax. i've done this before.
sanji - (loudly) WHEN???
zoro - don't worry about it

a 4 panel comic
panel 1: zoro is on the phone with baba (the mom character from a water 7 filler episode) while sanji walks around in the background holding a baby bottle. zoro says "um, hey-" before getting cut off.
panel 2: baba snaps at zoro. "'um hey'??? that is NO WAY to greet your mother!" sternly, she tells him "CALL ME MOM. i'm not answering your questions otherwise."
panel 3: zoro awkwardly says "o... ok... mom... um". behind, sanji overhears and flips his head around with a sort of pissy caught-off-guard expression when he says 'mom'.
panel 4: sanji is grabbing zoro by the collar, trembling and teary, dramatically yelling, "WHY HAVEN'T I MET YOUR MOTHER. WHAT AM I TO YOU. DO YOU EVEN LOVE ME." zoro replies frustrated and gritting his teeth, saying "I HAVE LITERALLY FOLLOWED YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH," then adds loudly, "AND SHE'S NOT MY MOM!!" then sanji yells at zoro again, saying "DO NOT DISRESPECT YOUR MOTHER."

because i know you're here now #zosan #zosanweek2024 day 5 prompt - trust

little sanji is sitting in pitch black with the iron helmet on. the page is full of his thoughts--of being trapped by the helmet then being free of it, of the bugs that may or may not be crawling in his cell, and of the feeling in his hands. the text scattered across the page reads: what am i seeing - and what is my imagination? - are my eyes - open? - closed? - what's real? - or a dream? - how's the time passing? - if a tree falls in a forest - and no one is around to hear it - does it make a sound?

a loud snore wakes sanji up. turns out that was just a bad dream. he's 40, sharing a bed with zoro, and wearing one of zoro's earrings. zoro lets out a snort and shuffles in his sleep. sanji, still shaken, turns to face him.

we see zoro from sanji's pov, snoring open-mouthed. text is again scattered across the page, but it's just zoro's snores now. sanji watches zoro, turns his body towards him, and slowly, his eye shuts and he drifts back to sleep.

originally, i blindly colour-picked from this lovely chappell roan photoshoot while i set my display to greyscale, but it looked SOOOO ASS so i had colour it normally 💔 anyway here's the uncoloured version i was working with most of the time, had a lot of fun!!

it's zoro's turn to be an embarrassing drunk #zosan i was supposed to work in the nickname 'swirly-whirly', translated from 圈圈 (quān quān) with help from the zosan discord but it kinda didn't work so... just know that he's mumbling about it too

zoro is tipsy and out of it. sanji has him grabbed by the back of his collar and asks, "how did you of all people get drunk?" then, zoro grabs sanji's face by the cheeks with both hands, which confuses sanji. still holding his face, zoro kisses sanji on the forehead. sanji's eyes bug out with more confusion. later, zoro, still drunk, tucks his head in the crook of sanji's neck while drunkenly muttering to himself. the cartoonish drunk particles floating around him are now mixed with little hearts. sanji reaches his hands around zoro and wonders, "how do I make fun of him for this tomorrow?"
