Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 04/10/2026MAGs are actually not as efficient as Plumbing Entered Evacuation in a gravity field while ambulatory due to "slosh," so you're still golden. 110
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 04/10/2026Talking at #ACEP2026 @acepnation.bsky.social this week about applying Space Engineering concepts to EM! Come hear a robust follow up to Dr. Menon's keynote! Wed afternoon! 112

Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 01/10/2026Trying to imagine how that ED visit went. Did they call poison control? 000
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 30/09/2026Just another example of the normalization of anti-pancake on Bsky 020
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 30/09/2026My contribution to the misdirected Hawks anger discourse: in the mid 80s Harry the Hawk was holding me courtside for some jumbotron thing, but apparently too close to the court and Wilkens ran into us. Family lore is that I reported "Dominique said a bad word" when returned to my parents. 001
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 25/09/2026You are more the expert than me, but did Nelson still have campaign accounts at the time that distributed money? 000
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 25/09/2026Id look at KCL for the clinical side of things and any ESA funded human labs for the integration work 110
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 25/09/2026The administrator of NASA has always been political, I'm sure Bill Nelson's donation history was just as partisan. 110
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 25/09/2026There are already dedicated training programs for space med practitioners. When integrated with an engineering curriculum it becomes more of a human system integration course, which is related but different. And then the general ISU type training is also a model. 110

Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 25/09/2026I'm developing a spacemed course in my university as part of a general aerospace engineering degree and, while I think it's useful and will be well attended, I don't know it's going to be critical for most entry level folks who likely will be worked on uncrewed systems. 110
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 24/09/2026I know a lot of pilots, so maybe I know more furries than I thought 000
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 23/09/2026As a long time member of the Aerospace Medical Association (not on Bsky), who have been big advocates for flight crew mental health recently, I'd like to see AsMA respond to this characterization. 111

Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 19/09/2026TIL that Hyrox is not referring to the Oreo knock off cookie that I grew up eating. 011
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 16/09/2026It's a good study, but with the caveat that the conclusion that cardiac deconditioning won't be an issue on a Mars flight isn't valid without the assumption that crew get as much aerobic exercise as they currently do on ISS, which is probably not going to happen. 000
Dan Buckland @danbuckland.me · 12/09/202620 years ago this week, in the Red Sox same-day ticket line, I met my (now) wife. Even though we haven't been together the whole time I know I've thought about her at least once a day for the last 2 decades and I'm looking forward to doing so for many more. 020
