It’s 48 Hours until the Kickstarter for Windlesham’s Folly ends and it currently stands at £550 with 28 backers. I’m happy with that as it’s a decent amount considering what I do and, fewer packages to send out. But, I’d also like a few more backers as I think I’ve made something quite good.

I distinctly remember where I was and what I was doing when I listened to the final episode of A Wyrd Turn. Unaware and completely unprepared for the notorious Windlesham’s Folly episode, I was captivated and baffled by what I heard, but Cassandra’s words have stuck with me ever since.

I've got a story in this. It's a personal story and it something I've been wanting to do for a while. It wouldn't work as a single 24 page issue so it seemed like it had nowhere to go until boxes came along. Have a look and consider backing, the UK is sorely short of comic anthologies right now.

I imported the text in to a word document and slowly began the process of hacking it up in to a workable script. It was two years in the making, from scripting to final production and along the way I kept a type of journal which ended up as a 20 page ‘making of' drive.google.com/file/d/1M9zY...

It’s really hard to sum up what The Great God Pan is really about which also make it difficult to sell to someone who has never heard of it. I go with ‘Victorian supernatural mystery’ but it’s so much more.

Originally released as pay ‘what you want’ digital download it was met with zero fanfare. Literally not a single download. Couldn’t even give it away… They say 'comics will break your heart' and this did it for me. The lack of interest was one of the reasons I took a break for a few years.

In the end, I just went with the goat skull and tried to make it look more like a film poster than a cover. I’ve been told it’s quite striking so I now kinda use it a logo.

The Goat Skull cover was a place holder for a long time whilst I tried to figure out something cool. My original plan was scuppered when I worked out I’d accidently ripped of a Becky Cloonan picture. My sketch below with the pic from By Chance or Providence.

This is the first book I made after a break from comics (2016-20) due to becoming a father and not sleeping for four years. It deals with my own fears about being a parent and how to move on from tragedy. I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever made.
