"And the next thing you know!" Just wanted to let you know I caught the Kim Deal call-back. Your work has not gone unappreciated.

That entire You Gotta Sin to Get Saved album is incredible. I'm not sure how I got turned on to it because that really wasn't what I was into in 1993, but I wore that CD out.

Last summer when I took my vinyl collection out of storage after 30 years, the only heartbreak was discovering the record was missing from the Surfer Rosa cover. My only guess is that I left it on my turntable before finally completing the transition to CDs. Makes me sad in so many ways.

There’s a certain nobility in just ignoring the art that we don’t like. Not everything is supposed to be for me so why would I get worked up over something that I don’t like. I will, however, spare no praise and energy in promoting the artists that move me.

Damn, you're good at describing albums. I think I like Murmur even more now.

The entire Queen of No album is Mats-worthy. Great songwriting.

In his memoir published decades after the celebrated throw-down, funky Billy Chin admitted that not everybody was Kung Fu fighting.

This is one of a handful of songs from the '60s that will consistently make it on to my indie rock mixed tapes.

Terrific album and what a great sound. This is the song that introduced me to the Muses and all the Kristin and Tanya songs that followed in their various iterations.

If it's true that you're like what you like, then I'll always be deep-down a 'Mat. A great tribute to a terrific album. Your writing never fails to live up to the art you're talking about.

My daughter is a special ed teacher at a CPS elementary school. They're planning special Halloween events because the kids have been told not to go trick-or-treating since ICE has made it too dangerous on the streets. How anyone with a heart can support this regime is beyond me.

Can't wait to get my hands on this. And definitely looking forward to reading the liner notes.

I saw Katie and the band in Bloomington last week. Tremendous show. Her voice sounds even better live.

Two of my favorites, but I'd never made the connection. I can see it now, though. Thanks.
