I hate it here so much. Why is trying to date men so fucking hard? I really am so sick of being alone. 🥲🔫

This too. Tina please run for governor. Klobuchar has disqualified herself over the last week. We desperately need a good democrat to run.

Got in a stupid argument with this guy about it today and when I pointed out the fact that he (a white, presumably cis man) was speaking from privilege he fucking blocked me.

Statement from Gateway on the state sanctioned murder of Renee Good
Statement on the Murder of Renee
Nicole Good
GATEWAYWe are heartbroken and outraged by the murder of Renee Nicole Good. Renee was a member of our queer community and a legal observer who was caring for and protecting others when she was killed by ICE. She was murdered by the federal government for showing up for her community and bearing witness.

Renee's killing is not an isolated act of violence. It is part of ongoing, escalating attacks on immigrant communities, particularly Black and brown people, who are disproportionately targeted, surveilled, detained, and harmed by state power. Legal observers exist to protect communities from abuse and to document the truth. That Renee was killed for doing this work underscores the danger faced by those who stand in solidarity with people most impacted by injustice.Gateway is rooted in support and care for queer people. Queer survival has always depended on collective protection, mutual aid, and showing up for one another across differences. We gather. We watch out for one another. We insist on joy and connection even in the face of fear. As Dan Savage said, "The dance kept us in the fight because it was the dance we were fighting for." Renee understood this deeply. Community, safety, and joy are not secondary to justice, they are the reason we fight for it at all.

We mourn Renee Good. We hold her loved ones close, and we stand with all queer people and all communities harmed by ICE and state violence. And we recommit ourselves to bearing witness, to protecting one another, and to fighting for a world where caring for your community does not cost you your life.Renee Good was murdered for bearing witness. We commit to never looking away.

God damn. This is genuinely worrisome to me. Minneapolis almost never cancels schools.

Today, we remember.
Together, we heal.
Together, we continue building a safer, more just future for all of us.

At Gateway, we honor Liara not just by remembering her name, but by carrying forward her legacy: of compassion, courage, and community. Though we do not center her story above others, we remember her as part of our extended community, and we honor her life alongside all those we've lost. Each name represents a full and irreplaceable person, and Liara is one of many whose absence reminds us why this day matters.
Remembering those we've lost deepens our dedication to supporting the living by creating spaces where trans people can rest, grow, and be celebrated without fear.
To all our trans and gender-diverse family: you are loved, you are valued, and you are not alone. Our community is strongest when we show up for one another, and today we recommit to doing just that.

Today, on Trans Day of Remembrance, we hold space for all the transgender and gender-diverse people whose lives were taken by violence, hatred, and neglect. As members of the trans community ourselves, this day is not abstract, but personal. Their loss echoes in our community, our friendships, and our own stories.

As we hold space for all the lives we've lost, we remember Liara Tsai among them. Her loss on June 22, 2024, was a tremendous blow. The circumstances surrounding her death were tragic and violent but today, we choose to remember how she lived. Liara's music, her spirit, and her care for others still resonate with us. She connected people, made people feel seen, and created spaces of joy and healing.

I spent the evening working on a new space I’m opening soon. Its mission and focus will be on creating a radically safe and inclusive environment for trans people to dance and be free. All are welcome, dance is for everyone but I am centering my trans siblings. #gatewaytwincities

I’m trans and a teacher. A advocate and activist. A promoter and a DJ. We need to hang on to each other to survive.

New haircut. I went pretty short and I think I prefer my bangs longer but it’s definitely nice and airy for summer!
