A million thank yous to @kidsbookcentre.bsky.social who made it possible to spread my animal joy, science joy, and book joy with kids and educators in towns and cities both large and small. It was a week of pure fun, connection, and a reminder that being a children's author is the best. 😁 (4/5)

By the end of my presentation, he was smiling, asking questions, and he left with a sparkle in his eye and a big grin on his face. I couldn't have been happier. I gave him new perspectives, lots to think about, and for the past hour, he enjoyed himself and felt lighter. I knew I did my job. 🥰 (3/5)

The students, teachers, and librarians were absolutely wonderful. However, one boy was particularly memorable... He sat with his classmates on the floor of the library. His eyes were downcast, his face was grim, and overall he looked like he was having a very bad day (week? month?...life? 🥺). (2/5)

Last week I was given the incredible opportunity to tour Manitoba as part of Canadian Children's Book Week. Here is a brief video summarizing my adventure as an author visiting schools and libraries across the province. (1/5)

The rabbit stopped. It hunkered down, waiting for its demise. Spirit caught up to it and…….sniffed its bum. 🤣 We stood in stunned silence while Spirit continued to sniff. We called her over, and then the rabbit and the rest of us went our separate ways. Good dog, Spirit. Good dog. 😅 #dogs

Spirit is a gentle soul who is kind to everyone: people, cats, other dogs, etc. She only chases is rabbits. Nothing else. Not even squirrels, chipmunks, or birds. Just rabbits. The chase was on! The snowbanks were so high on either side of the path that the rabbit was trapped. Spirit closed in.

Spirit and the Rabbit: An Action/Thriller/Suspense Story Last night, we took our dog, Spirit, for a walk along a pathway. Since no one was around, we let her walk off-leash. Then she saw a rabbit.
