This old oak door in Port Townsend has seen it all. Deep carved wood and dark brass, standing through time like the old men made it. Bezos talks of one-way & two-way doors, but this one just watches the trade wars and politicians come and go. A damn good door that doesn't care either way.

Spotted this Western Meadowlark while wandering around Fort Worden in Port Townsend today. #PNW #WA #birds #photography

Western Meadowlark sitting on top of a green bush. The bird has a yellow chest and neck with a black V. There is a white bar along the side of its head at eye level.

Some quick snaps from this morning's hike. The winter light can work wonders on a landscape. I was surprised to find this snow-covered leaf in such close proximity to the saplings where the wind-blown snow had created mini drifts. #Fujifilm #X100VI #Vermont

I escaped for a quick hike with Pico just before sunset today. It was nice to feel the sun after a cloudy week of flurries. Pico used to avoid water like the plague but now loves it even when it's 15 degrees F. #Fujifilm #X100VI #Vizsla #Vermont

Alright! Found a van, Ford Transit high roof. Build has started. First install over the weekend was a Flatline Van Co roof rack. Super impressed by build quality. Will likely look at them for rear door hardware (box / ladder) when we get to that phase. Any other #vanlife folks on here?

Ken Cheng is the only person doing LinkedIn correctly

A LinkedIn post from Ken Cheng with the following text

I owed a friend £22.91 for an Uber.

I transferred them £22.19 by accident.

They never brought it up.

Nobody would bring up 72p.

I did it on purpose.

I've been doing it for years.

Every time I have to transfer someone money, I "accidentally" leave off a bit.

I call it the Plausible Deniability Typo.

£24.37 instead of £24.73.
£9.38 instead of £9.83.
£3.46 instead of £3.64.

Sometimes if I'm feeling really risky, I'll do £18.54 instead of £19.54.

They'd look like a complete tool to quibble over this.

Instead, they are a tool in a different way.

A tool for me to get to the top.

I've probably made £100 over 5 years.

Thankful for the Vermont and New Hampshire road crews that made possible my drive to Boston in a Kansas-plated rental car. Easily a dozen cars off the road - all minor and attended to minus the one person attempting to “speed and power” it back onto the highway.
