Arrived this morning. In this horrible photo I was trying to show the Alyson inflation of Book 1 to Book 2. But I am bad at photos, and decided to show everyone my incompetence.

A photo of the new Alyson Greaves book All The Way. Book 2 of the When You Fell From Heaven series.

I realise it doesn't make much sense to people who haven't playtested the game, but I am pretty proud of how its looking so far.

Further to my earlier post about the work on Whispers, here is the current draft of Maggie's character card design (with placeholder stock photo for the moment). The Tension Track at the bottom is design so that a small paper clip can be used to track the current position.

An image of the character card for Margaret "Maggie" Green in the game Whispers in the Coal Dust. It looks like a stylised Clock-Card from the Lilac Mills where Maggie works. It is an aged yellow card with Places for Employee details in a monospaced font. The filled in values look like Handwritten entries in blue bic ink. The Entries in the time card columns are filled in with handwritten red bic ink. Lying across the columns at an angle obscuring them is a black and white photo of a 1950s British woman at the seaside wearing a formal blazer and pleated ankle length skirt (this is placeholder stock photography). Across the bottom of the card vertically aligned are two tracks of numbers one from 5 to 0, the other from 0 to 5, labelled SAPPHISM and RESPECTABILITY respectively, this is the Tension Track. Above the column that represents SAPPHISM 3 and RESPECTABILITY 2, is a small handwritten blue ink word saying "Start" at a slight upward angle, representing the characters starting position on the tension track.

Made lots of progress this weekend, on what I hope will be the final draft of Whispers in the Coal Dust. I am getting a little carried away with the format it will be available as, but at least it will look amazing. If I am super on the ball, I might have it available for sale at Con-Tingency.

Can always rely on you for novel length chapters (I promise this is compliment, I love it)

Just received my print copy of @floaker.bsky.social's Mum Chums. The final product and play sheet are great. This is my number one game released this year, you all owe yourself a chance to play it. I will definitely be running it again at Con-Tingency.

I am the same person, I just used to lie to everyone else about who that person was.

Another year nearer to 50. I am an old woman.

A selfie of me. A trans woman with curly dark red hair, smoky eye shadow and colour changing green and purple lip gloss.

For the way out here in super narrative land I could totally make some Mixtapes to run this as Ribbon Drive.

Letting the strong trans aunt mask slip a bit. Everything I do for the community, the help with hormones and voice, is because I know I missed my chance to be happy by refusing to transition for 25 years even though I knew I was trans. And some days its just hits me like a truck. Do not be like me.

1000s of random sheets of paper and 100s of different notebooks, all with a million half-thought ideas.

¿Por qué no los dos? I mean all of the games I write are GMless, and about 50% are diceless (and even the ones with dice have a single dice roll in a scene).

Well that was ... a lot. I now just desperately need books 3-12.

My girlies and I frequently discuss how if all the trans girls went on strike, the internet would fall apart about 2 hours later.

Asha, you aren't just pretty. You are beautiful

Your voice is one of the most perfect I have assessed. There isn't a better outcome, anything else is about personal preference. Like I am able to sound much more femme than the voice I use every day, but it is my preference.

000

Alyssa, Trans Goth Wine Aunt @damwaingames.itch.io · 12/08/2025

That's not how it works, all it means is that if you had professional support you probably could have voice trained in a couple of months.

000

Alyssa, Trans Goth Wine Aunt @damwaingames.itch.io · 12/08/2025

There is no such thing as earning your voice. Yes your voice is good, it is not easy to voice train NO MATTER the method you use, in fact doing it without professional support is explicitly harder.

Alyssa, Trans Goth Wine Aunt @damwaingames.itch.io · 12/08/2025

Babe, your voice is great, and I am always available to help you understand how to break it down better.

*sigh* I get its important for people to be able to recognise AI generated content, but speaking as a person who has always used em-dashes—possibly a little too much—can we please not just see an em-dash and say AI. Thanks.

I mean from my perspective, I had the qualifications and the career, but it cost me three suicide attempts and a sectioning. And once I came out publicly, I still lost my job because of transphobia and then couldn't even get an entry level position for the thing I had been doing for 25 years.

I know for me, who just wished I was a girl from the age of 6 I just thought that was normal, everybody wishes they were a girl all the time right? And gets upset when they are told they can't play with the girls? Right?. Not having the words didn't make me not trans, it just made me sad and scared.

Alyssa, Trans Goth Wine Aunt @damwaingames.itch.io · 16/07/2025

That was the whole problem with section 28. Since you can't tell what is encouraging, you just can't say it.

Yet another case of the health care system encouraging trans people to lie to it so the health care system doesn't accidently kill us.

Ok but then that book has like a million chapters instead :P

We need to remove the taboo around DIY. There are trans people in your area who can help you, making your own HRT is very simple and viable for trans women (sorry trans men T being controlled is a bitch). There are people who can teach you. A lifetime supply of raw ingredients costs at most $200

I'm probably the only person glued to this, but...there are 40 minutes left and I genuinely have no idea whether we'll make Scott's stretch goal. There are slightly less than £400 to go. www.kickstarter.com/projects/gra...
