It’s really awful for Dallas as a city. I feel bad for people who have become accustomed to enjoying the much improved downtown scene when going to games. 😔

I hate that for Dallas. I live in Houston and having the Astros downtown is fire. The Dynamo and Dash are both a few blocks away from that spot and when games are going it’s great for community. Nightlife and restaurants flourish. Etc.

I went to the one on Houston. Sadly the turnout was smaller than the first one but still happy to see a good crowd. I know there are more Texans that should be fighting alongside us but I fear that even in very blue cities the red state just seems to not give a fuck.

That’s the most legit thing that can happen to a Texas hockey player. I grew up in west Texas and played hockey in Midland and Odessa. I was good enough to practice with the Odessa Jackalopes in the early 2000s and always dreamed of making the team and hitting the ice in my home town area.
