I found the film deeply unnerving and atmospheric, but ultimately it kind of boils down to "wouldn't that be fucked up or what" scenarios that stop being interesting after you finish actively watching it. The therapist being awful at her job makes that angle feel hollow for me. It says very little.

Sorry, maybe my question was poorly phrased. In the in-game lore 'A Lecture on Bloodfly Fever' it says "And here is the fully mature insect, after its post-bloodfly transformation. Now in beetle form, note it has dropped its wings." I've been trying to figure out if a mature beetle appears in-game.
