MS Office is zo'n flutproduct.

@jbgruber.bsky.social & @vanatteveldt.com argue that as data become more difficult to collect (no APIs, scraping more difficult) we need to share existing data more. And how non-consumptive research is a way to do that without goi g to jail! #ica25

@tgrootkormelink.bsky.social showing his very innovative approach to integrating WhatsApp-diaries, data donation, and qualitative interviews to get a much deeper understanding of users media practices #ica25 Very much looking forward to more such work that really *integrates* different methods!

Very impressive work presented by @anjabechmann.bsky.social - her team managed to get really impressive sample sizes and quite okay-ish dropout rates with #datadination, much better than previous work (also ours). #ica25

The 10% are sometimes taught as a rule of thumb but don't make sense to begin with, because the required sample size is not linear. In our open-access book at cssbook.net/content/chap... we write: (the references there give more detailed info)
