Just went and saw Weapons at the theater. Holy MOLY that was intense. Amazing performances and incredible pacing.

I have fallen into the trap of Daggerheart. Ordered the Core Set today! I've been going down the rabbit hole of Daggerheart related content all day. The @matthewmercer.bsky.social is VERY convincing! #ttrpg #daggerheart

Ok... BIG question! What was your first ever TTRPG to sit down and play? Mine was the original Red Box D&D followed years later by Paranoia by West End Games. Please comment below and let me know! #ttrpg

I think I have a few middle fingers left for itchio and Valve. Oh, and I might have a spare for Terry Hogan.

With the constant barrage of horrifying news crushing one's soul daily, at least I can find a little tiny bit of joy in that Blender 4.5 released today. Wee. #blender

I've been following T.L. here on Bluesky and ended up picking up his Darkness Over Dallas Saga series. As a huge M:tA nerd, T.L. does an AMAZING job of just "getting" Mage. These DODS books are so good! Please go take a look!

For both Juneteenth and as someone who has enjoyed TTRPGs for most of their life, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the absolute legend that is Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk 2020! #juneteenth #ttrpg #blackcreators

On this Juneteenth, please lets all take a moment to reflect on the immeasurable contributions made by the countless and tireless Black members of our communities and this country. Lift them up, hear their voices, and learn to about their experiences!

While I've never been a fan of LA, what's going on right now is an unmitigated trainwreck. That fuckface of a "President" is creating far more chaos for his own gain. What a piece of shit.

@square-enix-games.com The grind in FFXIV for demiatma isn't fun for anyone, almost everyone has completed their SharedFATEs in DT prior to this update, It's utterly disrespectful of the player's time, and it's ultimately just a way to pad player time for the sake of numbers for your investors.

Jonathan Joss--voice actor of John Redcorn from King of the Hill, and Ken Hotate from Parks and Rec--was killed in a homophobic hate crime today. I'm so angry.

Statement from Tristan Kern de Gonzales
Husband of Jonathan Joss

My husband Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.

Throughout that time we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic.

When we returned to the site to check our mail we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw.

While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired.

Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life.

Jonathan is my husband. He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get. We were newlyweds. We picked Valentines Day. We were in the process of looking for a trailer and planning our future.

He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other.

I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved.

To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family.

My focus now is on protecting Jonathan’s legacy and honoring the life we built together.

If your concern is how someone coped with trauma or how loudly they speak when recounting injustice and being ignored by authorities then you never truly cared about my husband.

Jonathan saved my life. I will carry that forward. I will protect what he built.

Happy Pride Month! Why do we have Pride Month? Because there is nowhere on earth where being straight is illegal.

I want to take a moment to thanks the amazing members of the #ttrpg community here on Bluesky for giving their insights into creating characters with experiences vastly different from my own. It reminds me as always that many voices are better than just one.

I have 2 questions for ttrpg GMs. When creating characters for a story that are different from your own experiences, where do you draw inspiration from? How do you create characters that are authentic and respectful to those different experiences? This can be race, gender, cultural, etc.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well Bluesky does with its new verification system! I'm glad it's not something that has to be purchased.

Cory Booker discussed Dungeons and Dragons while beating Strom's record. I admired the man before, but now he's a a straight-up LEGEND.

Tales of Xadia really needs to be properly supported by DWD/CORTEX or the IP needs to be released to a TTRPG publisher that can do it justice. No proper errata, no updated physical core rulebook (with DWD branding), horribly made dice sets, an overdue campaign setting, and an overdue starter set.

000

Damian the Oddity @damianreed.com · 01/03/2025

So as someone who has enjoyed TTRPGs for most of their life, I find it incredibly annoying that all these dice vendors cant' be bothered to sell anything other than the standard 7 die set. No 5d10/10d10 sets for Storyteller games for example.

My time on Facebook may be coming to an end. Recent changes to their moderation will allow for hate speech against LGBTQ+, people of color, women, and minorities. That's something I cannot support.
