If you watch Die Hard backwards, it’s about 13 terrorists who finish construction on an L.A. office building just in time for a Christmas party. 🎄

Is it just me or is using npx to run a MCP server on your machine the worst security vulnerability imaginable?

Looks like it’s hit a half million installs! @ionic.io @vscode.dev extension. I’m not at Ionic anymore but I do still work on the extension from time to time.

Playing with @meshtastic.org tonight, it’s a LoRA mesh network suitable for sending short messages when there is no cell/wifi service. Thinking #burningman would be a great spot to use this.

The @ionic.io VS Code extension now supports migration to #Angular 19 and will also help upgrade any peer dependencies in your project. After migration you can click Project > ... and choose any of the migrations to Signal Inputs, inject DI, built-in control flow and more.

What a fun UI bug Gmail on iOS. Now whenever I want to unsubscribe I instead get to react with an emoji!
The react with emoji button overlaps the unsubscribe button in Gmail for IOS

The code was in AMOS Basic written by François Lionet. Eventually I lost the source code for Breed after my Amiga 500 died with motherboard issues. As a student I couldn’t afford a new one and after getting a job coding in Turbo Pascal, the passion for writing games dissolved.

I’d call this the “good old days” of game development. A single developer could push the limits of the hardware, and be responsible for everything about the game. I wrote the music in fast tracker.

Back in 1996 I wrote a game (in AMOS) called Breed for the Amiga 500 released on the cover of the Amiga Format magazine. For $10 I’d send you a disk, instructions & hand written letter thanking you. 28 years later someone from Denmark tracked me down & thanked me and we caught up.
