Review of Nosferatu that reads:
Nosferatu? More like Yes-feratu. Audiences will succumb to the darkness that permeates through every frame of Eggers’ adaptation of this classic vampire tale. The cinematography, production design and score are all stunning, generating a sumptuous Gothic atmosphere dripping with menace. The cast on the whole are great, with Skarsgard adding another iconic villain to his repertoire. However the film’s only misstep is the casting of Aaron Taylor Johnson. He sticks out like a sore thumb, with his delivery and demeanour at odds with the tone created by the others. Thankfully it is not enough to disrupt the dreamlike quality woven in this blood-curdling, beautiful nightmare.
