Is it time for Canada to remove it's knee-jerk, follow the leader tariffs against Chinese electric vehicles?

Let's face it, the only reason Canada imposed those tarriffs was because the US did. It surely wasn't based on a thoughtful, analytical analysis of the subject (or at least I haven't heard of one).

Surely, removing the tariff's on Chinese EVs would be the ultimate retaliatory tarriff against Agent Orange and his goon-based administration!

It will be a while before I get there.

A photo, looking down my driveway, along the side of my house. My car is in the middle of the frame, mostly free of snow, but otherwise surrounded by snow drifts. A particularly large drift, behind the car, and several inches taller, is blocking access to the road beyond.
