My current #PhysicalTBR. This is a lot for me, I try to read more on my ereader because I don't have endless space ( not pictured: 13 ebooks 😳 ). Discovered some bookstores last month which were... too tempting. Very excited for John Gwynne, been wanting to try him for a while! #Booksky

A stack of books. From top to bottom : 'The Incandescent' by Emily Tesh. 'The Shadow of the Gods' by John Gwynne. 'The Library at Mount Char' by Scott Hawkins. 'The Vanished Birds' by Simon Jiminez. 'Monk and Robot' by Becky Chambers. 'The Pretender' by Jo Harkin

Ohh I'd recommend The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jiminez. Absolutely gorgeous writing, very unique, slightly weird. I haven't read another book with the same vibe yet. And City of Last Chances by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I love his writing and worldbuilding. I had a lot of fun with this one :]

N.K. Jemisin writes so beautifully and powerfully. A wonderful finale. Very happy to get stone eater lore, I loved the Syl Anagist chapters. This is definetly a trilogy I will reread. I now wonder if I was just in the wrong mood with book 2. #TheBrokenEarthTrilogy #Booksky #TheStoneSky

Chapter 10 and then Syl Anagist: One back to back was diabolical. Even if I had a vague idea of what was going to be seen in Syl Anagist: One still. Goddamn.

#currentlyreading The Stone Sky by N.K. Jemisin. Oooohhhh I want this to be good so badly. The Fifth Season is one of my fav books ever and then I did not like The Obelisk Gate much at all so I need this one to save the trilogy for me p l e a s e #Booksky #TheStoneSky #N.K.Jemisin

Kinda annoyed at how buggy this app is. I got a bunch of drafts I can't reach because it refuses to scroll down. And trying to add alt text is also a disaster

I even like his humor so I don't understand why I'm bored when I read him. He's the author that keeps haunting me with the idea I should give him another chance. He just feels like I should love him.

#Booksky does anybody else have an author that by all metrics they should love, but somehow it just never works out? For me it's Joe Abercrombie

And the characters... they were so good. From characters that were lovable to ones that had me conflicted and those I despised. I loved reading about all of them. (2/2) #KingSorrow #JoeHill #Boosky

Fucking masterpiece. A 900 page book that had me hooked for the whole duration, no dips. Every section of the book went in a different direction that kept it fresh yet it all felt cohesive. I loved the concept of King Sorrow as a being. (1/2) #KingSorrow #JoeHill #Booksky

New oc drop, this is Pea #illustration #characterdesign #monstergirl #oc #digitalart #dalblauw.art

Character art of a jester. The tips of their ears, fingers and tail are tinted green. They have short flowy orange hair and bright red cheek circles. The rest of their colorpalette is blues, greens and beiges. In their hand they hold a scepter that is inspired by the lilly of the valley flower. Their fingers are slightly clawed.

If you see this, post your green art

Portrait of a woman with light green skin, and slightly darker hair. She is looking over her shoulder. She has large staring eyes that glow slightly. Feathers grow from her in various places.

Halfway through it did kinda overstay it's welcome for me, but later I had fun again, so it wasn't too bad. I do think this could've been a little shorter for what it is. I'm happy to have read it though. (2/2)

This book is so stupid (affectionate). I had a fun time, was surprised that there was some sort of worldbuilding beyond the euromedieval special. I liked Merulo, thought he was very funny, and sir Cameron was an excellent himbo. (1/2) #ApparentlySirCameronNeedsToDie #Booksky

The blind date with a book book! I would've never picked it out myself so I think that's interesting, but also a little scary. The package talked about a himbo knight and evil sorcerer and that just sounded very fun. Hoping for a good time. #ApparentlySirCameronNeedsToDie #Booksky

Gosh I love Tchaikovsky. I had never really noticed his humor before. Love how freaky Kiln is. I want to reread more of his books now because I feel like I locked in with this one. Also just need to read more of his books in general. #AdrianTchaikovsky #AlienClay #Booksky

Oohhh probably the horror/fantasy blend of Between Two Fires. I love it when horror is added to either fantasy or sci-fi.

Yeeeessss, Becky my love, fuck yeah!!! But oh boy the other one... Would've never even considered looking at it if I were browsing so that's kinda fun. Then I flipped through it and was like sure maybe! But then... I looked up the reviews (bad idea) and oh god I'm scared again.

Little book haul! I've never done blind date with a book and I'm immediately cheating bc I'm pretty sure the right one is Becky Chambers. I have no clue what the left one is tho, it caught my eye and I'm scared because if it's not done exactly right I probably won't like it. #Booksky #bookhaul

Photo of 3 books. One is 'Between Two Fires' by Christopher Buehlman. The other two are blind date books wrapped in brown paper. Left says it's a fantasy with a queer romance, himbo knight meets evil sorcerer. Right is a feel good sci-fi that's a bit solar punk, robots in the forest.

I'm really craving some Adrian Tchaikovsky. This will be a reread but I don't own any unread work of his atm (I prefer to have his books physically so no quick ereader buy). First read I liked but I wasn't really in the right mood so hoping for a good 2nd try #AlienClay #AdrianTchaikovsky #Booksky

However this is a first book in a series so starting a little basic is fair enough. I did think some of the character interactions were fun though, the banter was cute. Since I bought the 2-in-1 volume I'll definetly give the second book a chance at some point. (2/2) #Booksky #RiyriaRevelations

So, I finished The Crown Conspiracy, and while I thought it was fine I am not going to read Avempartha immediately after it. A lot of things in this book just felt clunky. The way exposition was delivered especially bothered me. And the twists weren't very... shocking. (1/2)

It's a decent traditional fantasy so far (which is what I was looking for), but idk how I feel about the character with perfect memory who has read oh so many books who is essentially a lore dump vehicle #TheftofSwords #RiyriaRevelations #Booksky

I loved The Safekeep but I did realize that I'm still very much in a fantasy mood. So it's time for Theft of Swords! I've heard this has great banter so excited for that. This is technically 2 books but they're shortish so I think I'll read it in one go #TheftofSwords #RiyriaRevelations #Booksky
